The Rancho Christian School Board and Rancho Christian School President are thrilled to announce a new administrative position at Rancho Christian School that will serve our students and families well in their educational journey.

Dr. Joshua Medrano will be promoted to the position of Academic Dean of Rancho Christian School.

Dr. Medrano has 14 years of teaching and administration experience focusing on STEM and Robotics. His doctorate is in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on organizational change focused on educational systemic structures and policy. In 2021, he joined the Rancho Christian School family to connect his Christian faith through his educational career. Dr. Medrano has served as our Secondary School Vice Principal and is the director of our Robotics team, which just finished 13th out of 48th in regional competition. We are very proud of Team Bullseye!

In his new role, Dr. Medrano will work with administration and faculty teams on curriculum analysis, curriculum development, professional development, test score analysis, and refining every area of academic excellence at Rancho Christian School. He will serve at every grade level to ensure academic alignment school-wide with smooth curricular and instructional transitions between all divisions of Rancho Christian education. Dr. Medrano will also work with our Guidance Counselors to prepare students for their highest and best university placements. Rancho Christian graduates attend some of the finest universities in the nation, so our expanded academic team will refine an already-established program with proven success.

Dr. Medrano’s immediate focus is on the nationwide challenges students are experiencing in mathematics. He is already working with administrators and faculty on a comprehensive evaluation and refinement that will result in program changes in math this fall. Parents will be provided consistent information along the way with opportunities for feedback.

Lastly, we are excited that Mrs. Jackson will also complete her doctoral program in education next year, and Mr. Treadway will complete his doctoral program the following year. Rancho Christian administration and faculty are committed to a culture of continued professional development for the benefit of every student.
