There will be a change in used Uniform Sales.  We are going to be transitioning away from vouchers!  From now on we encourage you to donate your used uniforms.  There will be a box inside the elementary office.  Every couple months we will make those clothes available to everyone at $3 for solids and $5 for plaids and jackets.  The money will go back to the school to help where needed. In the interim if you still have unused vouchers you may use them to purchase items at the sale using your “voucher dollars” at voucher prices. If you are not using a voucher you will be able to purchase solids for $3 and plaids or jackets for $5. We will not be issuing vouchers.  Donations only! So let’s use up those vouchers!  We have a ton of clothes to sell!  Come early for the best pick. If you have any questions please contact Kim Butchko at kmbutchko@gmail.com or Rachel Strickland at rstrickland4d1@gmail.com

Outstanding Detentions – If your student has outstanding detentions, they will not be allowed to attend the school beach day on June 7th, instead they will serve detentions in school that day. Please encourage your student to attend all detentions. Special arrangements will not be made to complete your detentions.

Campus by the Sea – deposit past due.  If your student is planning on attending Campus by the Sea next year, please turn in the $100 deposit and letter of intent to go immediately.

TEXTBOOK RETURN – All textbooks are due by June 15th. A $5.00 late fee to be added on to each Textbook not returned by due date.

Dress Code – As we are getting to the end of the school year, students are getting a little lax on the dress code. Please remind your student that they must adhere to the school dress code or a detention will be issued.  A quick reminder: Tops-logo’d uniform shirt, Bottoms – navy, tan/khaki, or black are the only exceptable colors. Jeans are only allowed on Fridays. RCS Spiritwear or Collegiate tops may be worn on Friday’s only. The only outwear allowed in the building is plain or RCS logo’d sweatshirts or plain navy sweaters. Thank you for support.

Class of 2013 Parents & Students: We are starting a new tradition at RCHS. The Junior class will provide and serve a pancake breakfast for the outgoing Seniors. This breakfast is scheduled for June 8th from 9:00-10:00am. If you would like to help, please let Mrs. Rodda know soon. The planning has begun.

To date, the schools have raised just over $70,000 for the field through the 2011 auction and the Founders Circle. This is enough to fund the design, engineering, city and agency fees, and grading. In order to finish the field however, we need an additional $70,000 for irrigation and grass, plus an additional $70,000 for fencing and equipment to make the field fully functional. Together with families & local businesses participating, we can Finish the Field as a centerpiece of our school campus.

Many families are beginning to respond and return their sponsorship cards and we are very excited to share some of the results over the next week. Look for an update with some specifics as we celebrate together and look towards the future of Rancho Christian Athletics.

Also, as a reminder – both Family and Corporate Sponsorships are available. If you know of anyone who would be excited about sponsoring our Athletic Field, please feel free to grab a “Finish the Field” Packet from either the Main Office or the High School Office – or just share this page with them: ranchochristian.org/ftf/

]]> http://ranchochristian.org/2012/05/ms-hs-cheer-tryouts-2/feed/ 0 New Principal http://ranchochristian.org/2012/05/new-principal-3/ http://ranchochristian.org/2012/05/new-principal-3/#comments Wed, 09 May 2012 23:14:33 +0000 Debbie Fallon http://ranchochristian.org/2012/05/new-principal-3/ Dear Parents, we are very excited to announce our new principal for the 2012-2013 school year.  Dan Saatzer will oversee our Early Kindergarten through Twelfth grade.  Dan has been an educator in the Temecula Valley for over two decades.  His experience as a teacher, leader, and curriculum developer prepares him to take our school to the next level.  Michael Rea and Bob Swedberg have both served our school with excellenence and their unique training prepares them to fill very important roles as we move forward.  Mr. Rea has taught Science and Math for many years and it is this teaching expertise that will benefit our high school as we continue to grow and develop.  Mr. Swedberg has a degree in engineering and a passion for robotics.  He will continue to teach computers and start a robotics and engineering program at the high school.  We are very excited about his vision for this important focus of our math and science departments.  Stay tuned for dates for our “Meet and Greet” with Dan Saatzer.  Mike Johnson will continue as our Superintendent. Daniel Bolechowski will become our Vice Principal for Elementary. Lisa Gray will join the team as the Vice Principal for Secondary.

Please join us on May 11th in the Worship Center, doors open at 6:00pm games begin at 6:30pm.  Tickets will be available May 7th thru May 10th after school in the main entrance our by filling out the form that came home with your student.  Pre-order tickets $7.00 per person; $10.00 per person at the door.  Ticket includes pizza and a drink. We will also be having a drawing for some awesome prizes, hope to see you there! We need help with set up, games, and clean up, 5:00-8:00pm.

]]> http://ranchochristian.org/2012/05/rcs-2nd-annual-father-son-game-night-2/feed/ 0 New Principal http://ranchochristian.org/2012/05/new-principal/ http://ranchochristian.org/2012/05/new-principal/#comments Wed, 02 May 2012 23:45:58 +0000 Debbie Fallon http://ranchochristian.org/?p=6567 Dear Parents, we are very excited to announce our new principal for the 2012-2013 school year.  Dan Saatzer will oversee our Early Kindergarten through Twelfth grade.  Dan has been an educator in the Temecula Valley for over two decades.  His experience as a teacher, leader, and curriculum developer prepares him to take our school to the next level.  Michael Rea and Bob Swedberg have both served our school with excellenence and their unique training prepares them to fill very important roles as we move forward.  Mr. Rea has taught Science and Math for many years and it is this teaching expertise that will benefit our high school as we continue to grow and develop.  Mr. Swedberg has a degree in engineering and a passion for robotics.  He will continue to teach computers and start a robotics and engineering program at the high school.  We are very excited about his vision for this important focus of our math and science departments.  Stay tuned for dates for our “Meet and Greet” with Dan Saatzer.  Mike Johnson will continue as our Superintendent. Daniel Bolechowski will become our Vice Principal for Elementary. Lisa Gray will join the team as the Vice Principal for Secondary.

Wednesday May 16th 3:00pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Optional
Monday May 21st 3:00pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Mandatory
Wednesday May 23rd 3:00pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Mandatory
Tues May 29th   3:00pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Mandatory
Wed May 30th 3:00pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Mandatory                                                                                                                                                           The tryout results will be posted on Friday, June 1st by 10:00 am.
