MS & HS Cheer tryouts for the 2012-2013 school year will take place on Thursday, May 31st starting at 3:30 pm.
Cheer clinic for tryouts will take place on the following dates and times:
Monday May 14th 3:30pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Optional
Wednesday May 16th 3:30pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Optional
Monday May 21st 3:30pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Mandatory
Wednesday May 23rd 3:30pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Mandatory
Tues May 29th 3:30pm to 5:00pm Volleyball Grass Area – Mandatory

Early K/Kindergarten Preview Night

Our kindergarten classes will open their doors to the community on Tuesday, February 28th, 6:30-8:00p.m. Parents will be able to tour the classrooms and visit with the kindergarten teachers. Please share this information with anyone you know who has a child that will be in eith early kindergarten or kindergarten.

Science Fair Awards Ceremony

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17, 6:00pm!!!
Parents please come out and support our students and their hard work on their science fair projects. Viewing will begin at 6:00 pm, Awards will be given out at 7:00pm. Refreshments will be served. Students are required to remove their boards that evening or their boards will be thrown out at the end of the evening.

Students will be taking finals January 24-27, minimum day schedule applies, dismissal at 12:00pm. Study hall will be available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:00-2:45pm. Students will be given a schedule for the week which will outline each subject and the scheduled day of the final.

Parking Lot Safety

As we strive to keep our students safe, we would like to remind you of some important items you should be aware of. The circle drop is a quick drop only. This drop off is for students who are able to grab their backpacks and get out of the car quickly without assistance. If your student requires assistance getting out of the car because of age, projects, and/or backpacks in the back of the car, please park in the parking lot. Also, we ask that you pull forward in the loop so multiple cars can drop off at the same time. When pulling out from the curbs please check for pedestrians before moving forward. People do exit to the left of those parked on the curb to keep things moving if we get backed up.

Drop off in front of the school is acceptable for loading and unloading. Please do not park in this area and leave your car unattended. Please watch out for all parents and children crossing the street.

Middle School Food Drive – now until 12/15!! Bring in canned or boxed food to your homeroom. The class that brings in the most food by 12/15 wins a prize!!

Operation Christmas Child – 8^th Grade students will have the opportunity to volunteer at the Samaritan’s Purse Distribution Center on December 9^th. Students will be preparing shoeboxes for shipment overseas. Please turn in permission slips if you haven’t already done so.

MS Basketball Sign Ups have started this week, students may pick up a form in the Main Office. Please remember that payment is due at the time of sign ups.
MS Girls Basketball will meet Monday December 5th and Tuesday December 6th for skills assessments.
MS Boys Basketball will meet Wednesday December 7th and Thursday December 8th for skills assessments.

Sports this week………

Football - Thursday, 11/10 – Last Game of the Season!! Rematch against Mater Dei HS on our home turf. Game time – 6:00pm at Birdsall Sports Park. Tailgate Party beginning at 4:00 in the Birdsall parking lot. Pizza, chips, drinks, etc. will be available for a small donation. Dress warm and bring lawn chairs as there are no bleachers at Birdsall Park. Come join the party and support our Athletics Department.
