Diane Oakden, Director of Sonshine Preschool
Diane started her career adventure with Sonshine Preschool in 1983 as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher. In 1985 she began teaching Kindergarten and became the Assistant Director. In 1990 she was honored to begin serving as the Director. Diane has watched the Preschool ministry expand from a Preschool with a population of 45 students to a campus that serves over 700 precious children from Preschool through High School.
Diane and her husband, Earl, moved to the Temecula Valley area from Huntington Beach in 1981 after adopting the first of their three adopted children. They have literally watched this area grow from a town with no traffic lights into the developed area it is today. Diane and her husband have been married since 1970 and we love old cars, “hot rods” really. You will always find them at the annual Temecula Rod Run showing one of her husband’s most recent projects. They also love to spend time with their three children, one daughter-in-law and two precious grandchildren.
Diane loves that she has been fortunate to serve so many children and families through the ministry of Sonshine Preschool and prays that the excellent education standards and biblical foundation that they receive will impact them throughout their lifetimes.
